Kirov Don Quixote: Early Baryshnikov

Just under 8 minutes: From 1968, the full Don Quixote Pas de Deux in Leningrad - Baryshnikov with Ludmila Semenyaka (of the Kirov Ballet):

Baryshnikov

A 2 minute video entitled "Wat I Like About Baryshnikov". It includes his Corsaire solo, and very dark Don Quixote with some fantastic pirouettes! Thanks to SwanOdette89. I think these clips are both from the film "The Turning Pointe".:

Petit Allegro

Baryshnikov correcting petit allegro in a boy's class:

Young Baryshnikov

Only 47 seconds: Baryshnikov introduces B&W film of hiumself in class at the Vaganova School, with a tribute to his teacher, Alexander Pushkin, in 1968.

Don Quixote Pas de Deux

Don Quixote pas de deux, as danced by Mikhail Baryshnikov and Gelsey Kirkland in 1976 at Wolftrap.

This is pretty much Baryshnikov at his peak. (And there is a rapturous response from the crowd.)

Just at the 6 minute mark of the video, a quote from Kirkland scrolls up, explaining that she was anorexic when dancing this, and her advice to young dancers is that "thin is NOT in"!:

Here is the pas de deux:

and here are the solos and coda:
